This morning LG got up and put her animal puzzle pieces together all by herself! This is the first time that she has figured this out! Then she wanted to read, read, read...even before breakfast! These were obvious signs that today was going to be a very active learning day. :)
At snack time, LG wanted one of her apples that she picked. I was eating one, and she was watching me, so on a whim, I let her try to take a bite out of my apple. She did! So, I got her her own apple, and she ate it all by herself!
In the afternoon when we went to the grocery store, as I was getting her out of her car seat, she looked at me and said, "I walk?" I was dumbstruck! The only other sentences/phrases that she knows are "all done" (because we say it all the time), "Where's Mommy/Dadda?" (because we play the peek-a-boo game), and "I can cook" (because of her little cooking show that I let her watch). This is the first question/sentence that she has come up with on her own. Sadly, she only got to walk a little bit in the store because it was crowded, she was into everything, and she was tired. So, we heard, "I walk!" yelled and cried from the shopping trolley/buggy until we got back into the car to go home.
When we got home, LG took her nap, and then we all went into the back garden/yard to a play a little bit, when we got a phone call reminding us that we were suppose to be helping a friend move! Oops!!!! We all packed up again, and while B helped move furniture, LG and I helped keep Ben occupied. LG and Ben are really into moving day!
It was a fun, exciting day overall, though. Here is a short clip of what LG likes to do on the washing days. (Yes, there is just not one washing day. A load of laundry takes two hours here, and the machines are much smaller, so it normally takes at least two days to get all the laundry done, weekly!)
