Little Girl Is Growing

Little Girl has officially started wearing clothes the next size up (3-6 months). She still wears some of her 0-3 month clothes, but many of these have become a bit snug.

This week she has also started picking up her passy and putting it in and out of her mouth.

I don't think her GERD medicine is helping her, and I am wondering if she is beginning to teeth. I realize that it's early, but she is chomping down on everything she can get in her mouth (her passy, her hands, her burp rags, etc....). I guess time will tell. :)

Who does Little Girl look like?

This is the question we are continually asked. So far there has not been a consensus on the answer. What do you think?

Shots (Take Two)

Today Little Girl went back to the doctor's office to get another shot. She turned bright red after she got the shot, but she calmed down in less than a minute. We attribute this to the fact that we had given her Tylenol when we arrived at the doctor's office...not right before the shot, like last time. Although she has been fussy this afternoon and evening, she never had the crying spell like she did last time, either. It's really a shame that something so painful had to happen to her today. All last night and all morning on the drive to the doctor's office, Little Girl just talked and talked. She was in such a happy mood. We were happy to hear her little noises of happiness because the last few days since last Thursday have been rough. She has reverted back to a 2 hour feeding schedule at night (she was sleeping for 5 and 6 hours at a time), and she has just been all around fussy. Since she has been pulling on her ear, I suspected an ear infection or maybe early teething.
When the doctor looked at her today, he said that he saw nothing wrong, "Maybe she is just going through a phase." I hope this "phase" ends quickly. We will be going on a long trip very soon.

Oh, and Little Girl now weights 12lbs. 14oz.

GERD (Take Two)

Well, I have consulted another medical person, and I have decided just to give Little Girl the medicine at night, and I am only going to give her half a dose. We will see if this improves matters.

GERD

Well, we are upset about the GERD medicine. It seems to totally drug Little Girl. You can just look at her and tell that she is half asleep and not all there. Even worse, we don't seem to be seeing any improvement with her spitting up! We have decided to stop giving it to her even though we bought a 6 month supply of it.

First Round of Shots

Today we took Little Girl in for her first round of vaccines. She got a shot in the thigh and a medicine to drink. She was supposed to have another shot, but the hospital was out of that one today. That means we will have to come back next week. :( Little Girl did really good with her shot. She sucked on her passy while the shot was being given, so she just gave a little yelp, and that was all. B and I were so impressed that we decided to go to lunch with Little Girl after her appointment. Evidently the shot had a delayed pain reaction because Little Girl began screaming uncontrollably in the restaurant, and we ended up having to bag our lunch and eat in the car. After a while, the Tylenol that we had given Little Girl right before her shot must have kicked in because she fell into a deep sleep and didn't wake up for a couple of hours.

For those of you keeping up with her stats, Little Girl is now 2 feet tall and weighs 12lbs. 12oz. The doctor also finally gave her medicine for GERD (reflux), which we have suspected that she has had for a while now. Hopefully, this will make her feel better and slow the ever present spit up. :)
