I found LG working with Daddy today.  She is using her calculator as a phone, and she is reading Hindi.

Accessories Girl

Grandmother sent LG some more hair barrettes today.  As you can tell, she loves her accessories.  ;)

Another Hot Day!

Yeah!  Today we had another hot day!

LG got up bright and early ready to go to the park and play.  "Why won't you hurry up, Mummy, so we can leave!!!!"

In the afternoon, I rushed LG to get ready for the pool.  I've signed LG up at a local gym that has a pool so that she can become more familiar with the water.  We got all suited up, and walked out the door, and then I called B to check to make sure the pool was open today.  Of course, it wasn't!  So, we walked back home, and I introduced LG to the hose pipe.  She had a great time playing with the water...squirting herself and me.  :)

Notice, LG's duck shoes.  She calls them her "duckies!"  Her speaking abilities have really picked up the last couple of weeks.  She knows all her animal sounds, and she can say, "clock," "cheese," All done," "bye, bye," "Mummy," "Dada," and "agee"...that's "again" in LG speak.  :)

After LG got ready for bed, she came back down to help Daddy change some plugs on some lamps.  She's really getting the hang of being a handyman helper!  :)

A Sad and Happy Day

Today our closed friends and coworkers moved from our city.  :(  We said goodbye this morning.

Although the day started out on a sad note, we had beautiful weather, which always cheers one up.  Here is LG in the backyard/garden loving the sunshine.

Alone Again

LG's little friend went home bright and early this morning with the excitement that a new baby sister was waiting for her.

LG, Daddy, and I were exhausted because it had been a long night without much sleep.

To stay awake, LG and I met up with some friends at the park.  Then we crashed, and we both slept two hours.

In the afternoon, LG enjoyed being an only child again.  :)

Sister For A Day

This morning we picked up our coworker's little girl bright and early.  She spent the day with us (and it looks like it will be the evening, too) because her mother is in labor with her new little sister.  So...LG got to have an older sister for a day.

Strawberry

Look at the size of the strawberry that LG picked today from the backgarden/yard!  She actually ate this one!  Yeah!

Happy Father's Day!

Today LG had a great time showering Daddy with gifts for Father's Day.  She had already given him his fencing classes, which he is enjoying.  She also made him a mug with her hand prints on it!  He also received a set of pj's with Super Dad on them, and a backseat car organizer to keep Daddy's car clean and LG's stuff easily accessible.  :)  LG loves her Daddy so much, that she even wore a shirt to church that said she had the best Daddy in the world!  LG and I also made Daddy a special breakfast that included grits!  :)

After church, when Daddy was teaching English, LG and I were the only ones in creche.  We entertained ourselves by running around and posing for pictures and taking videos.  (LG wasn't very patient with the video's, but she loved watching them.)  Here are some examples.  :)

Cookie Cutters

Today I got out the cookie cutters with LG's play dough.  She loved them!

Celtic Languages, Christmas, and Soft Play

LG's favorite books at the moment are all in a Celtic language.  Almost daily, she brings Daddy his Celtic books for him to read to her.  She is living up to her middle name!

Grandmother sent LG this cute shirt recently.  It has gotten cold again today, so we decided to wear it.  It is so true!

One of the local parks has a soft play area attached to their cafe.  (I wish I had known about this place last winter!)  LG and I went with some friends today to the soft play area, and LG figured out how to climb up to the slide for the first time today!  In the past, she has just played in the ball pit.  She absolutely LOVED the slide once she went down it.  She was constantly running back to go down the slide again until we had to leave.  My girl is going to LOVE roller coasters some day!  :)

Cafe vs Kitchen

Today we went to an Italian cafe for lunch.  Look what they gave LG?! 

It was just steamed milk with a little chocolate sprinkled on top, but, boy, did she love it!

When we are at home, LG likes to play in the kitchen.  Her favorite thing to do is put the colander on her head and run around the house.

When she gets tired of that and needs a drink of milk or a blueberry snack, she drags me to the fridge and points at it.  She knows where the good stuff is!

Hedgehogs and Pizza

Today LG and I went to the high street, and we bought a doorstop.  This isn't any old doorstop, though.  It's a nice, furry hedgehog doorstop!  LG loved it from the moment she saw it.  She even chose it over a puppy dog doorstop!  When we got home, she proceded to share her water with it, and give it a bottle.  This hedgehog has found a good home.  :)

For lunch, LG and I decided to make pizza again.  We were out of pizza dough, so we made the pizza on hamburger buns.  LG had a great time putting all the toppings on, and she had a great time eating her creations!
