Busy Sunday

Today LG was very busy.

After church she gave Granddaddy a snuggle.

Then she learned how to get out of her rocking chair by herself.

Then Grandmother unpacked all the fun things that she brought for LG.  LG's favorite was the cat costume.  Even though it is too big for her now, she had a fun time wearing it on her head.

Daddy Is Home

Daddy came home today, and what a happy time that was!  Welcome home, Daddy!

Curler

Grandmother brought curlers for LG so that they could match and both wear curlers at night.  I have cute pictures of Grandmother and LG with their curlers in, but Grandmother may not want that picture on the internet.  Instead, here is LG with her first curler!

A Cute Day

Today LG started the day with pigtails.

By the time she decided to go "shopping," she was down to one pigtail.

LG is reading with Grandmother, but she still has one pigtail.

Shortly thereafter when she started playing with a bottle with Granddaddy, she had no pigtails.

She also has started to express herself with her hand on her hip.  Attitude!

Pancakes

When looking for breakfast foods for the grandparents, we discovered that you can by prepackaged pancakes!

Sadly, today I had to take B to the airport for a business trip.  He will be gone all week.  We will miss you, Daddy!

A Happy Day

Today is not only a happy day because LG got to eat croissants for breakfast,...

it's a happy day because LG's other grandparents arrive today to visit for 2 weeks!

The Trip Home

Well, we made the trip back home today.  We had hoped to take LG to a butterfly zoo on the way home, but it didn't open until 10am, and for us to make it back home before rush hour starts, we needed to leave earlier.

The most fun part of the day was lunch.  We stopped at a rest area (they are called services here) that had a connector bridge over the highway.  The restaurants were on the connector bridge!

New Game

Today while we were waiting around for the movers to come and give us quotes, LG discovered a new game. 

After we got the quotes, and all our work was done, we took a little stroll down to the town center.

LG got to see her very first castle!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Well, no great pictures of the Day of Love.  Just a lovely picture of LG up bright and early begging for Daddy's Cheerios. ;)

The reason for this is because today we all piled in the car and took a 5 hour trip (that ended up being 6.5 hours)  to an old friend's house.  Our friend's are moving, so we are here to interview moving companies for them since they can't be here. 

The trip was long, but LG slept for the first half of it.  We stopped a couple of times to stretch our legs, and we had a nice tea/supper at a pub to celebrate Valentine's Day.  When we finally got to our destination, it was dark, and we are now very, very, very thankful that we bought a GPS at Christmas!

Valentine's Dress, Flowers, and Showing Off

LG's friend Gloria gave her this size 12 month old dress at Christmas to wear, but it was too big for her then.  We told Gloria that she would wear it for Valentine's Day.  Still a little big, don't you think?

When we got home from church, Daddy went ahead and gave his girls his Valentine's gift to LG and Mommy.  Mommy got beautiful red tulips, and LG got wonderful smelling daffodils.  Sadly, LG's flowers made Daddy sneeze, so we had to put them out on the conservatory.

All afternoon, LG had a fun time showing off her walking skills.  She would walk across the lounge/den, touch the wall, and then turn around and walk back...again, and again, and again.  She then decide to cool down and show off her block stacking skills.  She can stack 6 blocks!

15 Months Old!

Today we were so busy saying goodbye to Grandma and hello to dear friends that we totally forgot that it was LG's birthday until it was bed time!

We got up bright and early to take Grandma to the airport.  LG dressed up for the occasion.  (Now that she has medicine, LG is also feeling much better.)  Before Grandma went through security, we all had a croissant at the airport coffee shop.  We will miss Grandma so much!!!!!

When we got home from the airport, we didn't have to wait too long before our dear friends showed up!  They are here for a meeting that we will all be attending tomorrow.  Last time they were here, we didn't get a picture with them.  This time we made sure to get a picture with one of them, but sadly, we missed the picture with the other.  :(

Very Sick

We have never seen LG this sick before.  She had a temperature of 102 for most of the night last night, even though we gave her Tylenol and a bath.  This morning I call her GP/doctor to get an appointment, and the receptionist said that we would have to call back tomorrow because they were booked for the day.  I could not believe it!  So, I called a private doctor (since we learned about them with Grandma).  We found one close by, and he was very good with LG.  He actually examined her (a new phenomenon here), and determined that she has an ear infection.  He gave her a prescription and told us to start giving LG Ibuprofen.  LG's temperature went down an hour after taking her new medicine, and she seems to be feeling better.

Sick

Well, we got Grandma on the mend only to have LG get sick now.  She is not feeling well, at all.  Hopefully, she will feel better tomorrow.

Girl's Day Out

Daddy had a conference today in the city, so LG, Grandma, and I had a girl's day out.  You can tell LG is excited and ready to go with her dummy/passy, water, and worm.  We went to a boot sale/garage sale (no pictures of that), and then we went to McDonald's to eat.  LG got a balloon!   All 3 girls had a great day!  (And I was proud of myself for driving us around everywhere.)  :)

Hair Clips
