1st Basketball Game

B is helping out with a youth basketball league here. Today Little Girl and I went with B to a game. Our team won by over 100 points! LG is obviously not very impressed in this picture, but by the end she enjoyed watching a bit of the game,

Update On Us

We have been in our flat (aka. apartment) now since Tuesday, but our stuff from France will not be here until next week. We have good news that our crate from the USA will be here at the beginning of March! Little Girl is definitely teething now. She is has been holding her head up by herself now for the last two weeks, but now she is putting her weight on her feet when we stand her up, too! She likes to talk, and she is not content to be put in one place for long. If she is in your lap, she wants to be put on the floor. If she is on the floor, she wants to be walked around. If she is walked around, she wants to be put in her bassinet. :) If she is in her pushcart, she definitely wants to be going...no standing still!

We will not have internet for another 2 to 3 weeks, so these post will still be slow coming for a while. Sorry.

City Baby

We finally got a chance to run downtown today, so we could try out the Tube with our pushcart (aka. stroller). Little Girl did great, and we took a few pictures. Since it's winter break in Europe, there were tons of tourist out, so we will go back in soon to get better photos.

3 Months

Little Girl is 3 months old today! Her doll that she normally takes a picture with is in a crate on the way here, but we still got some great pictures. We even got a picture of Little Girl watching her e-card from her Grandma!

Snow!

It started snowing yesterday, but it finally accumulated over night! Little Girl doesn't know if she likes it or not.

Sleep

It's taken days for Little Girl to get back to some sort of a schedule. But...she is finally back to sleeping at night! She slept 7 hours after watching the Super Bowl! She is definitely my daughter. ;)

We Have Arrived!

We have arrived in our new home in Europe! Little Girl did very good on her first two airplane rides, all things considered. On the first flight that was just 45 minutes long, we were allowed to board before the other 15 passengers. The airline attendant was very helpful in getting us settled, helping with the car seat, and giving us advise on what to do to help Little Girl survive the trip. She apologized that they no longer give out wings for the first flight. How sad! I was hoping for one for her baby book. We were advised to hold LG (instead of putting her in her car seat) facing us on our laps during take off and landing to help with her ears popping. We were also to keep her chewing her passy. She did really good on take off, but landing was a bit too much, and she cried a bit. The other passengers were really kind and said nice things about LG when they were getting off the plane.

We had a 4 hour layover at the big airport. LG was happy to sit in her car seat and only got upset and cried a couple of times. There was a nice lady who sat across from us, and she kept saying how good LG was. When we boarded the big plane, there was no one to help us, the aisles were just big enough to get the car seat through, and the plane was pretty packed. We did fine, though. We were had the middle three seats in the back of the plane, so we put the car seat in the middle. LG was happy to immediately get in her chair, and it looked like everything was going to be good. Then suddenly, before we even started to taxi, LG just started screaming! She probably only cried for about 5 minutes, but for the woman behind us, it seemed like an eternity. She asked a flight attendant to help us. The flight attendant asked if there was anything she could do for us, and we said no, so the flight attendant told the woman there was nothing she could do. Then the woman leaned over my seat and asked if LG had a pacifier, when I told her that it was in her mouth, she looked flabbergasted. Then the woman stood up (we were supposed to be seated and buckled by now) and asked if she could walk LG or something. I told her no, that I had it under control. The flight attendant then jumped all over the woman for standing up because the plane was trying to taxi. Finally, LG stopped crying when the plane started taxiing. (I think she likes the sound of the motor, and we know she likes movement.)

LG slept the whole plane ride except for the last 2 hours. I fed her and changed her diaper and clothes into something warmer on the changing table in the airplane lavatory (talk about small and difficult). She did great during landing this second time. Sadly, though, the crazy lady behind us didn't do so great. She wasn't done with her breakfast coffee and got mad when the airplane attendants took her coffee away. She told them to save it for her for after we landed. Of course they did not, and she was furious! She wanted them to make her another cup, and they said no, that it was time to exit the plane. Crazy!

Anyway, we are here now staying with some friends until our apartment is ready. Hopefully, we can move in on the 15th!

Copy Cat Photos

These two photos were taken because of the outfits. The white dress is the same one that I wore in the photo a few posts ago. The "I'm a coon hunter" t-shirt and toy racoon were B's. At some point later, I will have to post his photo in the same outfit.
