Week 22: Spaghetti Squash

Yesterday we had our first American doctor's appointment. We really like our doctor. She spent a lot of time with us even though we were a work-in. She answered all our questions, and she told us to call if we had any concerns. She gave a thorough exam and gave us some pre-natal vitamins along with the hospital information. R can take free exercise classes until 3 months after the birth. The hospital offers several parent-to-be classes such as infant CPR, birthing, and breastfeeding. And for the dad to be, he gets valet parking at the hospital when the baby comes!

Little Spaghetti Squash is about 11 inches long and weighs almost a pound.

Week 21: Carrot Length

What a day!!

We have arrived in the United States of America with little carrot. Our flights, overall, were smooth, and we only had trouble in Chicago with our bags. Because the silly people in Lisbon did not check our bags all the way through, we had to re-check our 5 bags at Chicago. Fortunately, some EXTREMELY nice American Airlines air hostesses helped us load our bags on and off the tram. A KIND gentleman helped wheel our bags to the ticket counter. Finally, we got them checked with only minutes to go before our plane left.

This morning we woke up to a wonderful Waffle House breakfast. Life in America sure is good!!
