Today the three of us got up early and went into town to have some fun. We had heard about an American diner that served a great blueberry pancake, so we thought we would go there for brunch. Sadly, the blueberry pancake was more of a dessert than a breakfast and the service was very slow (not good for LG), but I enjoyed my omelet.
Afterwords, we went into a cool department store (the oldest in town), called Liberty. It's kind of an eclectic, artsy type of place with prices I could never afford. They take a lot of antiques and vintage stuff and make them new again. I loved just about everything in that place!
Next, we went to a craft fair that was different from any craft fair I have ever been to. No toilet paper roll Southern belles here! This fair had dj's playing indi music in the background, and they taught swing dance. You could also make a craft while there. One booth sold cross-stitching kits of scenes from Star Wars. Another made jewelry out of buttons. It was all very inspiring, and I signed up for a lot of email newsletters about future fairs.
Although I decorated my computer a couple of weeks ago, now seems the appropriate time to display my craftiness. :)
