Yet Another Road Trip

Today we had some things to bring to some colleagues on the other side of the country.  Thankfully, this trip only took us three hours, and after our work was done, we got to have dinner with some dear friends!  LG got to meet everyone for the first time.  (Poor thing, you can tell she is tired.)

Ladies Party

Today we had a gathering friends at our home, and LG had a very little friend come over.  She was very good with her.  She shared her book with her and turned the pages for her.  Wish I had a picture of that!

Dress and Toothbrush

I made this dress (with the help of some friends) for LG before she was born.  It finally fits her!

My Outdoorsy, Sporty, Animal-Loving, Reader

LG's day is not complete if she doesn't get to go outdoors.  She is happiest outside.

She has now started feeding the fish dirt when the food allotment for the day has run out.

LG has learned to kick the soccer/football!

We got a Christmas card in the mail today from LG's adopted Oklahoman grandparents.  She would not let go of the card when I tried to take it away so she wouldn't bend it. 

Apparently she loves their dog...and boy did she let me know it!

LG is a big reader nowadays.  At last!  Something she got from me!  (Of course, B is a reader, too.)

A Morning Person

LG is definitely a morning person.  She wakes up raring to go.  :)

Each morning, she has the same routine.  She wakes up at 7am and barely survives having her diaper/nappy changed and clothes put on because she can't wait to get downstairs.  There she eats a breakfast of yogurt, fruit, and cereal.  Then she begins to play, and play, and play until her nap in two hours (9am).

At the moment, her toys of choice are the cash register and her activity table.  She hasn't quite figured out that you talk into the microphone on the cash register.  She uses it as a phone.

LG loves to turn her activity table on the loudest volume and bang with all her might when the weather comes on each morning.  (Yes, it's an almost daily battle to find out the weather.)

A Balloon Day

LG played with her balloons today.  She got out a new balloon from McDonald's that we got on our trip, and she got out a balloon left over from her birthday (yes, her birthday...note that Granddaddy drew a face on it for LG while he was visiting).  What is it about balloons that LG loves so much?  I don't know, but I am happy that the simple things in life make her happy.  :)

Going Home

Today we made the looooooooong trip home.

LG enjoyed her lunch break at Burger King.  She enjoyed her necklace that was in her happy meal (always a girl for jewelry), and she loves drinking out of the Milk To Go cartons.

We are exhausted.  We should sleep well tonight.

Butterflies!

Today we cleaned and cleaned and cleaned.  LG was not happy all morning while she had to play in an empty room, while we took turns cleaning.  Thankfully, we finished by lunch time, so we got to turn in the keys and then take LG to a butterfly farm as a reward for hanging in there with us while we worked. 

She didn't quite know what to think about the all butterflies flying around her.  She clung to Daddy for dear life!

She enjoyed the bird area much better.  She also enjoyed pointing to the fish and turtles that were in the bird and butterfly areas.

The petting zoo may have been her favorite area (although she didn't pet anything).  She loved the guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, and goats.

On the way back home to the hotel, we stopped by field to let her see the sheep.

At night we watched the sunset by the castle!

Flowers

I had hoped that the movers would be done moving by noon, so that we could be finished today, but they took their time and finished up at 5pm.  This means we will have to come back over here tomorrow to finish the cleaning.  Uggg.

LG is not having the best time because we have to confine her to different rooms while all the work is going on.  She enjoyed it when she got to escape the house and go outside and play with the flowers.  She blends right in with her hat!

Another Road Trip

Today we made another road trip up north.  Tomorrow we have movers coming to pack up everything in a house up here, and we are in charge of making sure everything gets packed and then cleaning the house and turning in the keys.

It's convenient that LG has started eating Burger King kid's meals.  It made feeding her on the road much easier.

Feeding The Fish, Weeding, and Playing With Magnets

When we moved into this house, we were blessed with instant pets...fish!  Daddy has just recently bought the fish some fish food, and LG is having a great time learning to feed the fish. 

She also is a big help to Mommy.  She saw Mommy weeding, so she started weeding, too, and putting the weeds in the rubbish bin/trash can.

It's daffodil season, and we have lovely daffodils growing in our back garden/yard!

Daddy's office is a fun place to play in, too.  He has magnets on his filing cabinet!
