Today while B was out teaching basketball, a friend invited me over for tea. I was so excited, and I rushed around getting myself and LG ready. Apparently I rushed around too much because as I was pulling out of the parking place at our flat, I forgot that we were not in America. We are here, where the parking places are crazy small, and you have to make two maneuvers to exit your parking place. Yes, I scraped the bumper of a brand new, bright blue Toyota. Our station wagon has more damage, as you can see, on its side. I was so distraught my all of this, that I canceled going over for tea, and I just cried.
Thankfully, B came home with good news. Our friend that B teaches basketball with had heard that a Taco Bell has come to town, and he invited us to go there with his family for the afternoon! Yeah!!! A Taco Bell in Europe is the dream of every American over here! We had heard there was one in Spain, but that's still too far away. This new one happens to be just 1 hour away! It's in a huge mall, so that was fun, as well! We had to wait in a long line because the Taco Bell is still new. I got my usual, a nacho supreme and a burrito supreme. The nachos had chili seasoning sprinkled on them (why does Europe believe that nachos are supposed to have chili sprinkles?), and the meat in the burrito was not exactly right, but in every other way, it all tasted as good as I remembered it. An interesting addition to the menu here is that they have french fries. Why?
Needless to say, we stayed out past LG's bed time again tonight. She was hyper, giddy on the way home. You can see in the picture that she was just laughing away on the way into our flat. No sleeping through the night again, I'm sure. :)
