We stayed in the hospital with Little Girl until Friday, mainly for my(R) sake. During Little Girl's birth I lost a liter of blood, and so my blood pressure had to be monitored, and I needed just general recovery from the c-section.
Many people have asked about Little Girl's weight being less than what the doctors predicted. It turns out that the reason she was weighing in at such a large size on the sonogram is because her cord was wrapped around her neck twice. This threw off their measurements and their weight predictions. Of course, she is still a big baby that would have required a c-section because of the cord wrapped around her neck twice, so I am glad that we made the decision to go ahead and have a scheduled c-section.
So far Little Girl has proven to be a very good baby. She only seems to cry when there is something wrong. Unfortunately, she has had tummy problems the last couple of days, so she has been crying more than normal. She can sleep through anything, and she took to breastfeeding immediately.
Monday is her first appointment with the pediatrician. She was at the birth, and B got to be there with her while she preformed all the tests on Little Girl. She seems really nice, and she even took lots of pictures of Daddy and Little Girl right after the birth!
Here are some firsts that Little Girl has already accomplished since she has been home.
1) First bath at home
2) Cut her fingernails for the first time
3) During Tummy Time, she rolled over from her tummy to her back.
4) First tears
5) She can hold her head up all by herself now, even though she can't always control it.
6) Watched her first Alabama game against MSU
7) Has sucked her fingers for the first time outside of Mommy's tummy. :)
So far I can safely say that parenthood is very tiring (because of the sleepless nights), but I love being a mommy!

Oh wow, so glad things are going well! A thought on the tummy troubles - my kids both had issues if I had dairy (mainly milk) while I was breastfeeding. Also, if I had traditionally "gassy" foods (broccoli was the main offender), they got very gassy/collicky. So, I had to do soy stuff while i was nursing. Jsut a thought.
